Years of Experience: Roger has nearly 20 years of experience in the used equipment field, where he has purchased, sold, and appraised a diverse range of conventional and state-of-the-art computer controlled machine tools and related equipment. His experience includes projects involving Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, General Atomics, Honeywell, Hughes, Textron, General Motors, Ingersoll, Litton, ITT, Milacron, and the General Services Administration. Roger has handled collateral repossession and equipment remarketing for several asset-based lenders. His background includes extensive experience in strategic target marketing for plant & machinery sales, industrial auctions, and liquidations.
Responsibilities: Roger provides guidance and direction to each appraiser and appraisal project so that the resulting report meets or exceeds the client’s expectations. He draws on his experience and conducts market research to ensure that Great American’s appraisals provide a reflection of true market value. Additionally, Roger calculates liquidation expenses in order to provide an illustration of the net recovery value of the subject collateral.
Other Accomplishments: Roger has supervised liquidation value appraisals for Maytag, Eastman Chemical, Holley Performance Products, Hawaiian Tropic, and Buck Knives, among hundreds of other assignments. He currently serves as West Coast Chapter Membership Chairman for the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA).
Education: Roger has earned the designation of Certified Equipment Appraiser (C.E.A.) as administered by the Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and he is an associate member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He has successfully completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course of instruction, as well as several advanced courses and seminars offered by the ASA and the AMEA. Roger attended California State University at Northridge. |
